Our goal is to create success stories and enrich the talent pipeline within our client companies.For a global industrial group, a leader across multiple business segments, we are looking for a Business Unit Controller.The role reports directly to the BU Operations Director / BU Business Development Director / BU Director, with a functional reporting line to the BU Finance Director, and plays a key role in supporting Business Unit management as a trusted business partner in both short-term and long-term decision-making.The position combines strong financial expertise with a solid understanding of business dynamics, with the objective of supporting the BU in achieving its strategic goals and delivering sustainable financial performance. The Business Unit Controller shares responsibility for the consolidated financial results of the BU and actively contributes to standardization and continuous improvement initiatives, in line with Group guidelines.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Reporting & Performance ManagementOverall responsibility for the BU month-end close and monthly reporting processCoordinate and proactively drive closing and reporting activities across multiple stakeholdersContinuously improve processes in terms of accuracy, timeliness and transparencyDevelop a strong understanding of BU financial statements, with a focus on Sales and Order Intake growth, Capital related to Inventory and Fixed AssetsAnalyze and clearly explain GM1 variances (Price, Volume, Mix, Productivity)Prepare the Monthly BU Report in close cooperation with BU ManagementMonitor and follow up Operational KPIs, ensuring consistency with Group guidanceEnsure robust financial controls are in place, fully compliant with the Finance HandbookBudget, Forecast & Strategic SupportLead and coordinate the Budget and Forecast processes within the Business UnitDevelop, review and challenge BU Budgets and Forecasts in alignment with Global guidelinesActively support BU Management in achieving strategic and financial objectivesPerform proactive, value-adding financial analyses to assess business performance, identify financial risks, recommend effective corrective actions and provide high-quality financial and business insights to support decision-makingStrengthen financial awareness and understanding across the BU organizationProactively drive standardization initiatives in line with Group directionAct as an ambassador for common business solutions, tools and ways of workingSupport and train the organization on standardized tools (e.g. consolidated profitability, BI solutions, Aaro)Contribute to SPM initiatives at BU levelSupport M&A activities, with a particular focus on the integration phaseWork closely with multiple functions, entities and international stakeholdersQualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or a related field5–10 years of relevant experience as a Controller or Finance ManagerBackground in a manufacturing or industrial environmentStrong digital mindset and ability to manage large volumes of dataAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft ExcelExperience with BI tools such as Aaro, Power BI, Cognos, QlikView and/or TM1Experience with ERP systems, preferably M3 or SAPFluent in English, both written and spokenPersonal SkillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to present key insights clearly and effectivelyExcellent analytical capabilities and ability to interpret trends and resultsAbility to combine a big-picture view with attention to critical detailsProactive, positive and solution-oriented mindsetComfortable challenging assumptions and asking the right questionsAbility to work across multiple entities, functions, countries and culturesStrong ownership, accountability and ability to meet deadlinesCommitment to continuous improvement and openness to changeProfessional conduct and strong team-oriented attitudeSeniority levelAssociateEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionFinanceIndustriesManufacturing
