Role: Electro-Optical System Engineer

Akronos Technologies, a leading Italian company in hi‑tech engineering innovation and services, is looking for an Electro‑Optical System Engineer. As an Electro‑Optical System Engineer you will be involved in key engineering R&D activities for specific defence applications. You will support / manage all activities to ensure technical, regulatory, scheduling and cost targets for electro‑optical systems.
Key Responsibilities

Defining technical requirements for space and defence systems
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure compliance with applicable standards and system requirements
Design electro‑optical components and systems
Support laboratory testing activities
Contribute to the preparation and review of technical documentation for the system and components
Participate in project meetings, both internal and external, involving customers, suppliers, and key stakeholders

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering (preferably in Electronics, Telecommunications, or related field)
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role or with electro‑optical systems
Knowledge of Defence and Aerospace standards
Experience in technical documentation development
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Fluent in English (written and spoken); Italian or other European languages are a plus
