Tecnimont is seeking a Mechanical Handling Expert to join our team in Catania. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing integrated solutions for complex plants designed to provide access to the latest technologies in our large-scale projects worldwide. Responsibilities

Identify, select, and manage mechanical handling systems primarily for maintenance purposes in complex contexts such as onshore and offshore chemical/oil & gas plants.
Support the project's technical disciplines during the main development phases of detailed engineering and related 3D plant models, ensuring safety and improving accessibility, efficiency, and operational reliability.
Manage relationships with customers and subcontractors.
Support commissioning, FAT/SAT, and technical training.

Qualifications

Mechanical engineer with 5 to 10 years of experience in construction site mechanical handling.
Prior experience with mechanical lifting and handling systems (cranes, winches, overhead hoists, etc.).
Experience with technical specifications, CAD drawings, and vendor documentation.
Proficiency in 3D plant modeling programs such as Smart Plant, Universal Plant Viewer, and Navisworks.
Proven experience in EPC development projects and operations of chemical/oil & gas plants.
Ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and manage interpersonal relationships in an international context; good knowledge of written and spoken English required.
