You will own, build, and run technology sourcing and operations and engage with multiple business and engineering partners to drive plans and execution to satisfy the demanding needs of a high‑growth industry impacting markets worldwide. Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive sourcing strategies for custom and high‑complexity silicon components, aligning with product development timelines and business unit requirements.
Lead RFIs and sourcing engagements for silicon components, ensuring optimal supplier selection and conducting cost‑saving analysis of spending patterns and market trends.
Serve as the technical liaison between procurement and engineering teams for silicon‑related matters, evaluating supplier core competencies and influencing manufacturing and technology decisions.
Develop and maintain risk mitigation plans for critical silicon components, champion sustainability initiatives within the silicon supply chain, and manage complex negotiations for contracts, development agreements, and favorable terms.
Build and manage strategic relationships with key silicon vendors, collaborate with cross‑functional stakeholders to align requirements and ensure feasible solutions, and negotiate supplier agreements with legal and technical teams.
Conduct thorough market analysis of silicon industry trends and competitive positioning, forecast future supply and demand, develop lifecycle cost models, and maintain expertise in silicon component technology and manufacturing processes.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong technical understanding of silicon component technology, semiconductor manufacturing, device architecture, and production processes.
Experience in silicon supply chain management or operations and proven analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with experience in cost modeling and financial analysis.
Experience developing and executing strategic sourcing plans and serving as a liaison between procurement and engineering teams.
Excellent project management and communication skills; ability to travel up to 20%.

Additional Requirements

Track record of successful supplier relationship management in the semiconductor industry.
Experience working with cross‑functional teams in technical environments.

Basic Qualifications

6+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements.
6+ years of professional or military experience.
Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Quantitative, or a related technical field.
6+ years of experience working with engineering teams to develop technology roadmaps and supporting sourcing strategies.
6+ years of experience working with executive business partners both internally and externally to drive alignment to strategies.

Preferred Qualifications

MBA or advanced degree.
Experience in the Enterprise Networking, Hyperscale Networking, or Cloud Computing/Storage industries.
Background in the semiconductor industry with working knowledge of supply dependencies.
Experience working at, for, or with a hyperscale cloud provider.
Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations.
Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements.
Excellent ability to present complex technology and business objectives concisely.
Strong advocacy skills to challenge decisions that do not align with business objectives and propose alternate solutions.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $158,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $262,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Depending on the position offered, equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and other benefits.
