The Role
This is a fully remote position based in Italy. We currently have remote engineers across the UK, Germany, Turkey, Poland, Italy, Spain, and Portugal. You will work alongside a highly technical and motivated engineering team, reporting to a Tech Lead. You will apply fundamental engineering and mathematical skills to solve problems and overcome challenges, not just develop code. The frontend engineers at Plentific work with TypeScript, JavaScript (ES2022), React, React Query, React Router, Material‑UI, GitHub Actions, and a service‑oriented architecture. The rest of the tech stack includes Django REST Framework, PostgreSQL, AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, Redis, Celery, Pandas, NumPy, Jenkins, Elasticsearch, and raw SQL for analytics.
Responsibilities

Work with product owners, managers, UI designers, and engineers to write technical documents that identify project requirements and high‑level technical analysis.
Write well‑formed, testable, and readable code using appropriate design patterns.
Diagnose and solve page‑load and speed issues.
Debug and fix bugs across applications.
Write unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests.
Participate in code reviews.
Review, maintain, and refactor existing code for new features and improvements.
Write technical documentation of code, algorithms, and APIs.
Help draft end‑user manuals.
Identify, evaluate, and communicate front‑end best practices.

Skills

Expert level knowledge of TypeScript or JavaScript (ES6+) and common styling libraries.
Strong grasp of the React framework, patterns, and best practices.
Good understanding of UI/UX best practices.
Experience with front‑end observability tools like Sentry, LogRocket, Datadog, or New Relic.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions, ArgoCD.
Awareness of common front‑end security risks (XSS, CSRF).
Passion for writing clean, modular, scalable code.
Can‑do attitude to get things done efficiently.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to coach junior and mid‑level developers through reviews and pair programming.

Experience And Qualifications

5+ years of commercial React and TypeScript experience.
