Description
On behalf of an important reality that operates in the space field, we are looking for a User Ground Segment System Engineer.
Responsibilities

Definition and justification of User Ground Segment architecture, from concept to detailed design phase.
Definition and control of User Ground Segment technical interfaces, internal and external.
Definition and control of User Ground Segment software technical budget and margins.
Analysis of the Qualification data package provided by the UGS SW supplier.
Support to the GS AIV team for the UGS Integration activities.

Qualifications

Master’s degree or comparable in Computer Engineering.
Professional experience of at least five years in Ground Segment engineering projects for space systems, in Phase C/D as mandatory.
Professional experience of at least five years in definition and design of S/S for EO systems for institutional and/or commercial customers.

Skills

Strong competences in virtualization technologies and hypervisors (e.g. VMWare), including database virtualization.
Knowledge of secure network architectures, vulnerability testing, threat modeling.
Experience in the definition, management and traceability of requirements structure with the support of DOORS.
Proven capability to define G/S design throughout the support of model-based methods, techniques and tools (e.g. SysML, UML).
Sound knowledge of ground system engineering processes, and ground system software life cycles.
Knowledge of relevant ECSS standards.
Fluency in both spoken and written (Business) English, Italian skills are desirable.
